(CBS DETROIT) - United Airlines is tightening its mask policy to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.

The air carrier is banning the use of face coverings that have any kind of opening or vent in the area covering the mouth.

If a passenger arrives without a mask following the new rules, United will offer a disposable one.
