Unconscious Teen Pulled From Warren High School Pool

WARREN (WWJ) - A Warren Mott High School student was rushed to the hospital after he was pulled unresponsive from a pool.

Warren Deputy Police Commissioner Louis Galasso said mouth-to-mouth resuscitation was used on the 16-year-old boy, who was reported to have then coughed up water.

"He was pulled from the bottom of the pool. He had vital signs but was not conscious,"  Galasso told WWJ Newsradio 950.

Galasso said the teen was taken to St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, but was expected to be transferred to St. John Main in Detroit.

"He remains with strong vital signs; his consciousness is still somewhat of a mystery, in terms of it not being fully gained," Galasso added.

There were reports that the student has a history seizures, although that wasn't immediately confirmed.

The teen's name was not released.
