Unconcerned With Critics, Harbaugh And Michigan Bask In Sun

BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) — Jim Harbaugh says he doesn't care about critics of Michigan's spring practice trip to Florida nor does the coach understand all the fuss about the Wolverines being snowbirds for a week.

Michigan held the first of four scheduled practices Monday at the IMG Academy under blue skies with feathery clouds that provided pleasant cover from the sun. The Wolverines worked out for four hours in 70-degree temperatures and then went to the beach.

Back home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, skies were gray and it was 48 degrees. Snow was expected Tuesday.

The Wolverines trip has drawn criticism from the commissioners of both the Southeastern Conference and Atlantic Coast Conference because it falls during spring break, when players usually have off.

Is Harbaugh concerned? "No ... You got your headline now?"
