'Trump Folks Throwing Everything At The Wall They Can Think Of,' Says EMU Prof

DETROIT (WWJ) - There will be one more chance for the presidential candidates to make their case to the undecided, as the final debate is set to take place at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas this week.

Ed Sidlow, political science professor at Eastern Michigan University tells WWJ that it looks as if history is repeating itself.

"It kind of looks to me -- not unlike 1972 -- when Richard Nixon used what was then called 'The Rose Garden' strategy," says Sidlow. "He said, his campaign folks really said internally, let's sit back and watch George McGovern implode. Let him beat himself."

He says Donald Trump blaming the media for negative poll numbers is not a winning strategy.

"The Trump folks are throwing everything at the wall that they can think of, and hoping some of it sticks," says Sidlow.

Hear it live starting at Wednesday at 9 p.m. on WWJ Newsradio 950.
