Truck Driver Killed In 2-Semi I-75 Crash Near Toledo

TOLEDO (WWJ) - A Romulus man was killed, early Tuesday morning, in a crash along I-75 near Toledo.

According to the Toledo Blade, two tractor trailers collided at around 1:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near the Ohio Turnpike exit.

The newspaper reports 67-year-old Frank Hogle's semi struck a slow-moving semi that had its hazard lights flashing because it was having mechanical problems.

Hogle was taken by EMS to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver of the other truck, a 36-year-old Toledo man, suffered minor injuries.

A stretch of I-75 at the accident scene was closed overnight for an investigation, but has since reopened.
