Triplets Born Prematurely Set To Graduate At Top Of Class

SAUGATUCK (WWJ/AP) - A set of triplets who was born 15 weeks premature in 1997 is set to graduate at their top of their class at a western Michigan high school.

Baye Lee, Jenna and Allie Braschler will graduate as the top three students in their class at Saugatuck High School later this month, The Grand Rapids Press reported. The trio has also sewed up spots for class president, vice president and treasurer in their senior year, among other activities.

The sisters each weighed less than 2 pounds when they were born in October 1997, and survival rates between 50 to 70 percent were given to them. The three were kept in the neonatal center of a hospital for 333 days combined.

The Braschlers are set to go to colleges in different states in the fall.
