Trio To Spend Years In Prison After Pleading Guilty To Robberies At Two 7-Eleven Stores

WATERFORD (WWJ) - A group of young people will be spending a long time behind bars for their involvement in robberies at two Waterford convenience stores earlier this year.

E'ron Harrell, Cantrell Shawn-Norman Garner and Teanna Mychael Daniels all pleaded guilty to armed robbery charges for targeting 7-Eleven convenience stores on Crescent Lake and Scott Lake roads in May.

Harrell, 22, was convicted of five counts and sentenced to six to 40 years in jail. Garner, 22, was convicted of nine counts and sentenced to nine to 40 years in jail. Daniels, 22, was convicted of one count and is still awaiting her sentence.

The first crime happened just after 5 a.m. on May 9 at the 7-Eleven on Scott Lake Road. Employees told police that two men wearing face masks came into the store with a gun drawn and announced a robbery. The clerks handed over $500 in cash, several packs of cigarettes and lottery tickets before the suspects fled the scene.

Ten days later, officers were performing surveillance at the 7-Eleven store on Crescent Lake Road nearby. Around 3:20 a.m., the officers watched as two individuals burst through the store's exit and went running. Officers gave chase on foot and just moments later, dispatch received a 911 call from the business reporting an armed robbery.

Officers eventually caught up with the suspects, Harrell and Daniels, and took them into custody without further incident.

While speaking with investigators, Harrell admitted that he and another accomplice, Garner, were responsible for the earlier robbery on Scott Lake Road. A warrant was issued for Garner and he was arrested by officers later in the day without incident. He too, according to police, admitted to his involvement in the first robbery.

Investigators also learned that Daniel's vehicle was used during both crimes, although she was not found to be directly involved in the first robbery.
