Trinity Community Care Offering Medical, Dental, Spiritual Support For Those In Need

DETROIT (WWJ) - There's a new place to get free medical and dental care for uninsured and underinsured residents in Southeast Michigan.

"They want to give back and help people who are less fortunate get back on their feet," said Dr. Kimberly Getzinger.

Dr. Getzinger is with Trinity Community Care, a non-profit free health clinic offering primary medical and dental care, along with social and spiritual support to those who need it most reports WWJ's Health Reporter Sean Lee.

Getzinger is part of a group of doctors, dentists, nurses, and volunteers pooling their energy at the clinic, which opened back in December.

"It's just really rewarding to see people that are that grateful," she said. "I think when you are volunteering and giving the time - the patients realize that and it's a pretty rewarding experience."

Trinity Community Care will celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting and an open house Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and they're looking for more volunteers willing to donate their time.
