Trick-or-Treat on the Village Green

Halloween came a little early at the annual Trick-or-Treat on the Village Green at the Troy Historical Village. Families gathered dressed in their best costume to celebrate the holiday. The historic buildings were open and fun-filled activities took over the area.

The children had the opportunity to trick-or-treat at each building gathering candy along the way. The old schoolhouse building was open and provided a chance for the young ones to make Halloween themed crafts. Volunteers passed out cider, Tim Hortons beverages and donuts.

When we asked the kids what their favorite part of the event was, of course the answer was candy. Specifically Dylan Cook, who was in attendance with his family said "candy is life."

"This event brings everyone together, it's a great way to get out and about, meet new people and spend time with family," said Allison Karamon, who is a board member for the Troy Historic Society.

The CW50 Street Team had a great time with all the family and friends on the Village Green, we can't wait for next year's Halloween Festivity!
