Trial Next For Man Charged With Killing Woman Found In Drum

WARREN (AP) — A suburban Detroit man charged with killing his girlfriend and concealing her body in a plastic drum has been ordered to stand trial.

Warren District Judge Michael Chupa ruled Friday that 38-year-old Scott Wobbe should be tried for first-degree murder and moving her body. The judge said there wasn't enough evidence to move ahead on a kidnapping charge.

Theresa DeKeyzer's body was found in September in a drum at a storage site in Plymouth Township. The 22-year-old woman lived 33 miles away in Warren and hadn't been seen for much of the summer.

Defense attorney Raymond Cassar says the case against Wobbe is weak and there's no evidence he intended to kill her.
