Traffic Backed Up For Miles After Crash, Fuel Spill On I-75 Rouge River Bridge

DETROIT (WWJ) - A fuel spill on the Rouge River Bridge is causing a multi-mile traffic backup on southbound I-75.

Police say the incident unfolded early Wednesday morning when a tractor-trailer rig was involved in an accident with two other vehicles, resulting in a fuel spill on the bridge.

Police are forcing traffic off the freeway at Springwells Street. Drivers can get back on the freeway at Outer Drive.

The freeway closure is causing a multi-mile backup. It's unclear how long the closure will last.
