Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - Aside from the major reconstruction project on I-96, drivers won't notice too many orange barrels on the roads this weekend.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-94:

In Wayne County, eastbound I-94 will have a moving left-lane closure from Schaefer Road to M-10 (Lodge Freeway) from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for freeway lighting inspections.

In Macomb County, eastbound and westbound I-94 will have moving single-lane closures between 8 Mile and 12 Mile roads from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday for maintenance.

M-10 (Lodge Freeway):

In Detroit, northbound M-10 will have moving double-lane closures from I-75 to I-94 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. for sign inspection/installation.

I-75:

In Oakland County, the left lane on the Square Lake Road entrance ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday for maintenance work.
