Trader Joe's Recalls 'Bursting' Bottles Of Triple Ginger Brew

DETROIT (WWJ) - If you tend to shop at Trader Joe's, you'll want to check your pantry.

The grocer is recalling an unspecified amount of its Triple Ginger Brew sold nationwide from Nov. 9 through Dec. 14 because unopened bottles could possibly burst.

The voluntary recall was issued after the company received multiple inquiries from customers who had experienced unopened bottles shattering or bursting.

Although the ginger brew does not pose a health risk if consumed, all products have been removed from store shelves and destroyed. No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date.

Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Brew is sold in 25.4 FL OZ glass bottles.

Customers who have purchased the Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Brew are encouraged to handle it with care and dispose of it immediately in an outside container. Trader Joe's will provide a refund to customers who purchased the Triple Ginger Brew at any of their store locations.
