'Endangered Missing' Alert Canceled For Wayne County Teen

VAN BUREN TWP. (WWJ) - An Endangered Missing alert by Michigan State Police has been canceled for a missing western Wayne County teenager.

Van Buren Township investigators said 15-year old Trina Smith crawled out of her bedroom window at around 5 a.m. Monday.

Authorities said Smith is a diagnosed schizophrenic and is bi-polar. She hasn't taken her medications and can become delusional, hearing voices in her head.

State police said Smith left behind several notes; one stating that she would kill herself. Others stated that she was going to stay stay with someone in Detroit.

It's unclear at this time where she was found.

Stage police said in a media release Thursday that the Endangered Missing alert had been canceled, but didn't provide any further information.
