Tigers Trade Kyle Lobstein To The Pirates In Exchange For Cash Considerations

DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers announced today that the club has traded lefthanded pitcher Kyle Lobstein to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash considerations.

Designated for assignment by the Tigers on December 18, Lobstein pitched in 13 games, including 11 starts, for the Tigers in 2015 and had a 3-8 record with a 5.94 ERA (63.2IP/42ER) and 32 strikeouts. In addition, Lobstein started six games between Single A Lakeland and Triple A Toledo last season, combining for a 0-3 record with a 5.68 ERA (25.1IP/16ER) and 17 strikeouts.
