CBS DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers have activated reliever Bruce Rondon from the disabled list, the team announced Monday, one day after Rondon's latest rehab appearance for Triple-A Toledo.

While Rondon is now back on the active roster, he will not be playing for the Tigers just yet. Detroit has optioned his contract to the Mud Hens.

In his rehab appearance Sunday, Rondon gave up a hit and a walk but no earned runs. In his Friday outing, Rondon allowed two hits and one earned run. In his two starts the previous week, on June 6 and June 2, Rondon gave up four earned runs and one earned run, respectively.

Rondon had been on the disabled list since the beginning of the season with bicipital tendinitis.
