Tickets Now On Sale For Detroit Zoo's 2016 'Wild Lights' Holiday Display
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Detroit Zoo will light up the night again this holiday season with Wild Lights, a spectacular light display -- and tickets are now on sale.
For 29 nights, more than five million LED lights will illuminate trees, buildings and over 100 animal sculptures throughout the zoo. The event also features live entertainment, figure skating performances, arts and crafts, storytelling and seasonal refreshments. Carousel rides and photos with Santa Claus will also be available for purchase.
A 10-minute adaptation of the beloved animated television classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will also be featured at the Wild Adventure Zone 4-D Theater exclusively during Wild Lights. Movie tickets are $5 per person.
Wild Lights takes place from 5:30 to 9 p.m.:
• November 18-20, 25-27
• December 1-4, 8-11, 15-23, 26-31
Tickets are now on sale for $10 per person in advance, or $13 at the gate. Children under 2 are admitted free. Parking is $6 per car. Wild Lights is a rain, snow-or-shine event, and often sells out. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
