Thousands Without Power In Oakland County On Sweltering Saturday

WATERFORD (WWJ) -- Thousands of DTE Energy customers are without lost power on Saturday afternoon.

Just over 8,000 residents in northern Oakland County -- the Lake Orion, Orion Township and Waterford areas -- are in the dark due to an equipment problem at the Baldwin substation.

DTE told WWJ that either hot temperatures or a downed tree may have caused the outage.

Power is expected to be restored by 7 p.m. Saturday.
