Thousands Without Power As DTE Crews Work To Repair Issues In Several Cities

DETROIT (WWJ) - DTE Energy is working to restore power in the Dearborn Heights area. About 10,000 customers are without power along Telegraph, between Ford and Warren Road.

Spokesman Scott Simons says its a problem with a substation. No word on when the power will be back on.

While in Sterling Heights, a power pole caught on fire at the corner of 17 Mile and Van Dyke shutting down power to the traffic lights and businesses in the area.

Police have shut the entire intersection down while DTE crews work to fix the problem.
