Thousands Of Flights Delayed Or Canceled Due To Severe Weather

DETROIT (WWJ) - People who are traveling out of Metro Airport may want to check their flight status ahead of time.

More than 1,500 flights have been canceled and another 6,000 delayed due to severe weather across the United States. [FLIGHT TRACKER]

At this point, the only major delay is for flights headed to and from O'Hare airport in Chicago.

Delta Airlines has issued weather waivers for travelers headed to or through several Midwest and southwest cities including Des Moines, Kansas City, Omaha, Springfield and Tulsa.
