Thief Steals Equipment From Habitat For Humanity Home Site, Stalls Project
ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Someone stole thousands of dollars in equipment from a Habitat for Humanity truck that was sitting outside a construction site in Roseville.
Vice President of Corporate and Fiscal Affairs, Ruselda Johnson is outraged. The organization says the thief stole a generator and thousands of dollars worth of tools.
Construction on the project was halted until they figure out a way to raise five-thousand dollars to replace the equipment.
Executive Director Helen Hicks is hoping that the community will rally to the support of the family and to the charity. "We have hundreds of corporate volunteers who spend hours working on our homes. Perhaps they will help us raise these funds and get us back to our work of serving others."
