The Snack Attack: M&M's New Fall Flavor Is White Boo-tterscotch [TASTE TEST]

Halloween is only 24 days away and M&M's new fall flavor is sure to put you in the mood for all things spooky: White Boo-tterscotch.

Unlike most M&M's which are made with  milk chocolate, these M&M's feature creamy white chocolate with an intense butterscotch flavor.

Review: White Boo-terscotch M&M's

Appearance: There's nothing scary about these M&M's, which come in brown, tan and beige colors, but they're about five times the size of regular chocolate M&M's. Think Peanut M&M's without the peanut.

Aroma: The scent of butterscotch was so strong it was permeating through the packing.

Taste: Holy butterscotch! These M&M's really nailed the flavor. You can't even really taste the white chocolate, because the butterscotch flavor is that strong. The deep, buttery notes stand out through the crunchy shell and hold on as the creamy chocolate melts in your mouth. It's almost too intense -- if you're not a huge fan of butterscotch, you aren't going to like these. Lots of people are saying these M&M's remind them of Harry Potter's Butterbeer. I've never tried Butterbeer, so I can't comment on that --  but it sounds yummy!

Pros: Extremely strong butterscotch flavor.

Cons: These are so sweet and sickly butterscotch, that it's hard to eat more than just a couple at a time.

Rating: 7 out of 10 -- The strong butterscotch flavor might be a little over the top for some.
