The Controversial Maroon 5 Video Tries To Make Stalking Sexy

The NFL is not the only group to raise the ire of women's organizations.

Now that Adam Levine fancies himself a real actor, he has kicked it up a notch in the new Maroon 5 video for "Animal", and it has caused quite a controversy.

The mini movie features Levine's wife Behati Prinsloo. She is a Victoria's Secret model and she definitely knows how to look sexy in undies or her birthday suit, but it is not Behati's lack of clothing, it is the storyline in the video that is upsetting people.   It features  a butcher (Levine) stalking a beautiful girl (Prinsloo) in his neighborhood. Without the girl's knowledge, Levine's character obsessively photographs her and stares up at her window at night to watch her undress. Eventually he breaks in to her apartment, and while Behati's character is innocently sleeping, Levine is laying next to her and imagining the two of them having sex covered in blood.

The sexual assault support group RAINN has called the video "dangerous", and described it as a "stalker's fantasy".   Many fans also took to Twitter to express their outrage with the video.  Do the images and the story go too far, or is it just artistic vision for the song? You decide.
