The Container Store To Open Its First Michigan Store In Novi

Organizing your stuff is big business and a new retail store dedicated solely to neatness is generating buzz.

The topic trending locally Wednesday is The Container Store's announcement to open their first Michigan location in Novi's West Oaks shopping plaza June 4th.

Shoppers can choose between 10,000 products including more than 300 food storage solutions, 70 types of laundry hampers and 200 different sizes and colors of hangers and more.

The store will occupy the 22,000 square foot space that was formerly a Best Buy. The direct address of The Container Store is 43525 W Oaks Dr, Novi, MI 48377 near Novi Rd. and I-96. It's the 80th store nationwide for the company.

10 percent of the grand opening weekend profits will be donated to community food bank Forgotten Harvest.

Employment Opportunities

A fact sheet released by the company states a low turnover rate and pay 50 to 100 percent higher than retail industry average. The Container Store Chairman & CEO Kip Tindell said, "A funny thing happens when you take the time to educate your employees, pay them well and treat them as equals. You end up with extremely motivated and enthusiastic people."
