The Carr Center: The Electrifying Creative Hub For The Arts

Oliver Ragsdale, Jr. is the founder and CEO of the Carr Center, a creative hub located in downtown Detroit for Metro-Detroit residents and visitors interested in the arts. Within the organization is the Carr Center Arts Academy, a rigorous training program for high school students and life-long opportunities for adults. The academy enables students to grow in their talents. It provides exposure within the field from various artists who share their experiences for students to learn.

Carousel Park

The Carr Center has impacted the city of Detroit by developing the area into a popular attraction for people to explore. It has provided the city with fun activities for residents to enjoy, while being enlightened at the same time. In addition, they host various events throughout the year, including the recent unveiling of their jazz project: Detroit's Music…Jazz! in Paradise Valley/Beatrice Buck Park.
