Teen Found Dead In Street With Multiple Gunshot Wounds

INKSTER (WWJ) - Police in Inkster are searching for a gunman after a 17-year-old boy was found dead in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.

The incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m. Monday when police responded to a call of shots fired near Beech and Harriet streets, in a neighborhood south of Michigan Avenue and Middlebelt Road.

A Michigan State Police trooper arrived on the scene and found Dimetruis Reed laying in the street next to a bicycle, with multiple gunshot wounds. He was declared dead at the scene. No further details were released.

Police are now searching for the gunman, but did not provide a physical description.
