TEDxDetroit Features Local And National Speakers From Pixar To Shakespeare Detroit

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - A lineup of speakers ranging in age from 12 to 65 have been confirmed for Tuesday's TEDxDetroit conference at the Detroit Opera House.

The annual gathering - which is a local version of the national event that brings together professionals in the fields of technology, education and design - features presentations on "ideas worth spreading."

"Every year, our mission is to secure speakers, performers and artists who have a deep connection to the city of Detroit and who have innovative ideas worth spreading," said Charlie Wollborg, curator of TEDxDetroit and Chief Troublemaker of Curve Idea Accelerator, in a release. "And this year is no exception, we've selected a group of people who will continue to speak to the inspiration and spirit of Detroit."

The list of speakers for the sixth annual event, which is expected to draw more than 1,000 attendees, include:
