Ted Nugent Calls For Hillary Clinton, Obama To Be Killed Over Benghazi

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Michigan-native musician Ted Nugent is calling for President Barack Obama and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to be killed over their alleged wrongdoing during terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya.

No stranger to inflammatory political statements, the NRA board member writes — in a pages-long Facebook post Wednesday — that Clinton and Obama "should be tried for treason & hung" because, Nugent claims, they issued a "stand down" order, denying a military rescue when Islamic militants attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi in 2012.

"Our unholy rotten soulless criminal America destroying government killed 4 Americans in Banghazi. Period!" Nugent's post reads. "What sort of chimpass punk would deny security, turn down 61 requests for security, then tell US forces to STAND DOWN when they were ready to kickass on the allapukes & save American lives! Obama & Clinton, thats who. They should be tried for treason & hung. Our entire ****up gvt must be cleansed asap." [Read the complete post here].

As of 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nugent's post had more than 12,300 likes, 3,400 shares and 790 comments.

Top-commenter Craig E Davis wrote, "No 3rd party votes! I don't care who the Republican nominee is, they get my vote. A vote for a 3rd party candidate, no matter how good they are, is the same as a vote for the socialists," to which Nugent replied, " bingo. do or die."

Years later, who is to blame for Benghazi remains a hot-button political topic and, with a Michael Bay-directed action film reenacting the incident set to hit theaters this week, more discussion should be expected.
