Taylor police seek information about fatal shooting of teenager

Teen shot and killed after argument

Police in Taylor, Michigan, are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday night.

Officials said the incident happened around 9 p.m. on Pine Street, and officers "responded quickly to the scene."

"I just want justice for my son," Alexis Kimber, mother of 14-year-old Trey Kimber, said after learning he was the person shot and killed. "We had a whole lot of life to life."

He would have been a rising ninth grader at Ecorse High School, and school district officials have scheduled counselor visits this week.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Taylor Police Department at 734-287-6611. Callers can remain anonymous, officials said.
