Taylor Man Charged In Fatal Hit-And-Run Driving With Suspended License

TAYLOR (WWJ) - A Taylor man has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run. Thirty-five-year old Justin Robert Saum has been arrested on four charges, including driving with a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident, following a Sunday night crash with a minibike.

Saum was driving his pickup truck when he struck 17-year-old Austin McCumber who was on the minibike with another passenger. McCumber was seriously injured on the scene and died two days later. The other passenger was released from the hospital without

Saum is expected to be arraigned in 23rd District Court in Taylor Thursday morning.
