Take Steps with the CW50 Street Team

Solomon's Soldiers! Madi's Army! The Movements! Those are just some of the names of the teams that were gathered in Royal Oak for the annual Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis Walk. Held at Meininger Park, the event brought together individuals struggling with Crohn's Disease and Colitis. Joined by their families and support systems, the teams participated in a fun morning full of activities followed by a walk around downtown Royal Oak.

"We're walking for the people we love today and supporting my family and people we know", said Arkin Habbo.

Tina Landa came out to support her son. "He was just diagnosed in January", she said. "And we wanted to support the cause."

From clever team names and funny t-shirts to bathroom inspired art displays, it was evident that people came out with a sense of humor on the topic. Everyone was determined to have a good time, including the CW50 Street Team. Jen Buhaj and Krystle Anderson had a blast racing each other on motor scooters designed to resemble toilets.

The Street Team was proud to take steps with such a fun and inspiring group of people!
