Swap plants, seeds on Sept. 17 at Heritage Park in Farmington Hills

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - The Farmington Hills Beautification Commission is hosting its annual fall plant and seed swap on Saturday, Sept. 17, giving people the chance to swap for new plant species for their gardens!

The event will happen from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, rain or shine. It will be held at the Heritage Park Visitor's Center parking lot, which is located on Farmington Road between 10 and 11 Mile Roads.

Each year the event attracts gardeners of all skill levels, ready to trade plants and seeds of all kinds!

Officials remind gardeners to come prepared with gloves and have their seeds and plants labeled.

The Beautification Commission, Garden Club members, and Master Gardeners will all be at the event to answer questions. They will also provide refreshments.
