Suspicious Package Turns Out To Be Discarded Clothes

DETROIT (WWJ) - The all-clear is given in Detroit, after a suspicious package was discovered Wednesday. The call to authorities came out after someone discovered an unattended bag in the area near Beaubien and Larned.

Fortunately, it turns out -- it was just a bag of clothes left along the sidewalk.

Jack Hucklebee with the Detroit Fire Department, says they take all these cases seriously.

"Just got to make sure that all the citizens are safe," said Hucklebee. "So whenever they call us we come out and do our job."

A number of police and fire crews responded to the scene.
