Suspects Dump Getaway Vehicle After Stealing ATM From Walgreens

WESTLAND (WWJ) - Authorities are searching for the suspects who smashed through the front of a local Walgreens store and made off with the ATM.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. Friday at the Walgreens on Warren and Middle Belt roads in Westland.

Police say the thieves crashed their minivan through a portion of the store's sliding glass doors before making their way to the ATM.

After taking the cash machine, police say the crooks dumped the minivan and got into a second vehicle.

Investigators are gathering evidence at the scene and are expected to review surveillance video to get a description of the suspects.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 734-722-9600.
