Suspects At Large In Southfield Home Invasion

SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - Southfield police are on the hunt for some number of break-in suspects.

Police say a home on Magnolia Parkway near 9 Mile Road was the target.

Friday afternoon, a WWJ Newsradio 950 listener called the newsroom from the area where police were searching.

"There are approximately nine police cars (and officers) speaking with at least one child that I saw, but no traffic can get down Magnolia Parkway," said the man, who did not want to give his name. "There are now police dogs and police officers on foot, walking through the area. They have stopped all traffic, so nothing southbound is going on the service drive."

Police said the break-in happened earlier in the afternoon. Police are not sure how many suspects they are searching for, and there were no descriptions available.

There have been no reports of injuries related to the crime.
