Suspected Murder-Suicide Under Investigation In Orion Twp.; Exchange Student At Home Unhurt
ORION TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Oakland County Sheriff's detectives are looking into the deaths of two Orion Township residents as a possible murder-suicide.
A 57-year old man and a 56-year old woman were found dead in a home in the 3000-block of Kelsey Road, just before noon on Friday.
Both had apparent gunshot wounds, sheriff's officials said.
A 17-year-old exchange student from Japan who was in the home was not hurt. She told police the couple was arguing late Thursday night — and it wasn't the first time. Sheriff's officials suspect that a domestic dispute between the man and woman may have escalated.
A forensics team was called to the scene to process evidence. Autopsies will be conducted by the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Officer.
