Suspect Sought In Abduction, Rape Of Teen Girl Waiting For Bus

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are asking for help in locating a suspect in a terrifying bus station attack on a teenage girl.

Sgt. Michael Woody said the 17-year-old girl was on her way to school Wednesday, stopping at 6:30 a.m. to take the bus at 7 Mile Road and Hawthorne when she was abducted.

The girl told police she was taken to an abandoned house where she was sexually assaulted. Following attack, she said, she was returned to the bus stop where she had been abducted.

The suspect is described only as a man in his 50s with a dark complexion.
