Suspect In Student Rape Arraigned In District Court Sunday

DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit man is arraigned in connection with the sexual assault case near Henry Ford High School.

Twenty-two-year-old Justin Johnson is charged with criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping offenses. Johnson was arraigned in 34th District Court in Romulus Sunday.

Police say Johnson approached a 15-year-old girl, grabbed her, then assaulted her on Wednesday as the student was walking to school.

The girl said she was alone because a friend she usually walked with had been involved in a deadly accident while crossing the street the night before she was attacked.

Fourteen-year old Timesha Taylor, was hit and killed while crossing 8 Mile Road Tuesday night, and her friend, a 15-year suffered severe injuries from the accident.
