Supposed Red Wings Fan Arrested For Throwing Octopus On Ice At TD Garden In Boston [VIDEO]

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) -- A man wearing a Detroit Red Wings sweater took part in a Detroit hockey tradition on Thursday night.

However, it is not a Boston tradition and that's what landed him in trouble.

According to the report, the arresting officer saw Farrugia "walk down to the front row and throw what appeared to be an eight-legged creature." He was then placed into custody and removed from the arena, police said.

The Red Wings went on to lose the game, 5-2, but as the commentators in the video above said, Detroit does travel well.
