Stronger Police Presence Expected At Detroit School Following Abduction Report

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are expected to have more of a presence Tuesday around a high school on Detroit's west side after receiving reports that a young woman was possibly abducted in front of the school.

The incident reportedly happened around 7:15 p.m. Monday outside of Mumford High School on Wyoming Avenue, just north of McNichols Road.

A Detroit Education Authority spokesperson said a young woman was seen being pulled into an SUV against her will. At this time, it's unknown if the woman is a student at the school.

Police investigators are now reviewing security footage for possible suspects.
