Street Team visits Port Huron Chilly Fest

Hundreds gathered despite the frigid temperatures to chow down at Port Huron Chilly Fest, this weekend.

"Everybody coming out on a cold day and taking part in the Chilly Fest is great," said Dennis Doyle of Thumb Coast Brewing Company. "It's good for downtown Port Huron, it's good for the downtown restaurants and it lets everyone know we've got some good things going on down here."

The festival featured hot, homemade chili (it is called Chilly Fest after all,) a karate show and a dog parade.

"I love it," said Carrie Kerswell of Carrie Kerswell Photography. "It brings the town together and it's freezing, but we're still out here having fun, smiling having a great time."

"It's a great town and a great area," said Bruce Jobbitt. "I wish more people would come and enjoy it. It warms my heart to see people come out here to support the city of Port Huron."

Overall the event was fantastic and the Street Team looks forward to returning next year.
