Street Beat: Women's History Month, Changing Her Story

On Saturday, March 7th, Street Beat host Jill Washburn honors Women's History Month by looking at organizations that are changing "history" into "her-story."

First, Walsh College President Stephanie Bergeron and Inforum President Terry Barclay discuss the upcoming Entrepreneur-YOU event that is helping women become thriving business owners.

Then, Amy Good, the CEO of Alternatives for Girls, and Krista McClure, one of the honorees at their upcoming Role Model Dinner, discuss how this organization has been helping homeless and at risk girls find the right path.

Next, Jaime Klinger, Co-pastor for St. Thomas Community Presbyterian Church in Shelby Township, discusses her outreach program designed to give women around the world a helping hand.

Finally, Jill finds out how the Metro Detroit Chapter of the U.S. National Committee for U.N. Women empowers women here and abroad from Board Member Melinda Curtis.
