Southfield (CW50) - This week on STREET BEAT, our host Amyre Makupson interviews Komen Greater Detroit Interim Executive Director Gwen Moore about the impact that the Susan G. Komen Foundation has had on fighting breast cancer and helping patients cope with their cancer. They also discuss this year's Komen Race for the Cure.

Next, she interviews breast cancer survivor Linda Pond, Model of Courage, from Ford's Warriors in Pink Program, about her journey and involvement in the fight against breast cancer.

In her third segment, Amyre interviews Lauren Warren, Team in Training Volunteer from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Michigan Board of Trustees Member Terry O'Donnell to discuss their local initiatives and research programs for curing cancers.
