Southfield (CW50) - On this week's STREET BEAT, Lisa Germani helps to spread awareness for Down Syndrome that affects 1 in every 700 babies nationwide. First, she sits with Dr. Susan Youngs, Medical Director of Pediatrics at Beaumont Hospital, Dearborn to learn what Down Syndrome is and how they help early on.

Then, we talk to Paulette Duggins, Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Guild of Southeast Michigan to hear about their 20 year history of assisting the Down Syndrome community.
