The humiliation of taking the winless Columbus Blue Jackets Tuesday night sent me to the time out room,so I took Wednesday off to get my senses. Lo and behold the Blue Jackets were obviously affected because they fired their coach.

Tonight they play at Minnesota. It always seems that teams tend to win their first game under a new coach. I am very tempted to play that angle, but I just can't pull the trigger with a winless team.

The New York Rangers host the Coyotes tonight at Madison Square Garden. Arizona has lost 3 in a row while the Rangers are coming off a 4-0 home win over San Jose. The price is very steep but at -220 I am taking the Rangers as my PLAY OF THE DAY.
