Who knew that Alfredo Simon would actually pitch a good game Friday night. The Big Pasta and The Thin Noodle (Chris Sale) gave up a combined 10 hits in the 2-1 Sox win. That blew my over pick.

Tonight the Lions head to Seattle where the Seahawks are favored by 9 1/2 points. Seattle is 7-1-1 against the spread in their last nine on Monday night. They have covered six of their last nine games as a favorite and are 17-7 against the spread in their last 24 home games in which they have been favored. As far as the Lions are concerned, they have only covered one of their last eight road games and one of their last seven overall. I know Marshawn Lynch is not playing, but I don't think that will be enough to keep the Lions from going 0-4 in the standings and 0-4 versus the spread.

Unfortunately the Seahawks - 9 1/2 is my PLAY OF THE DAY.
