Stoney's Pick Of The Day

I am back after a week vacation and ready to dip back into the rough waters of the Play of the Day.

On July 31 I figured the Tigers, Orioles and the BFE (Buck Farmer Experience) would produce more than the 8.5 runs. They did not disappoint as the teams scored 15 in the Orioles 8-7 win.
Today is a tough one, I could go for the easy score and take the Royals over the Tigers, but at over -220 it is a risky price. I love the Dodgers-Nationals match up featuring Gio Gonzalez and Brett Anderson. Both teams are struggling. The Nat's lost 2 of 3 at home to the Rockies while the Dodgers were swept in Pittsburgh. I am going to go with the simple rationale that the Dodgers are 37-18 at Dodger Stadium while Washington is four games under 500 on the road. I like the Dodgers -125 as my PLAY OF THE DAY.
