State Troopers Seize Prescription Pills Headed To Nashville From Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Michigan State Police found more than 300 prescription pills hidden in a sock when they made a traffic stop on I-75.
Troopers with the MSP Special Enforcement Section pulled over a car on the southbound side of the freeway, near West Rd., for a traffic violation on Monday, Nov. 12.
According to a police report, troopers noticed an odor of marijuana and spotted a marijuana grinder and blunt wraps in the vehicle.
A search was conducted, and troopers turned up 15 grams of pot in a cup holder on the passenger side door and a sock hidden behind the carpeting of the trunk. Inside the sock they allegedly found 162 Oxycontin pills, 127 hydrocodone pills and 15 oxycodone pills.
The occupants of the vehicle were were arrested for intent to deliver analogues and possession of marijuana. Their names were not released pending formal charges.
Police said they believe the pills were headed for Nashville, Tenn.
