State Police: Critical Injuries In Downriver I-75 Crash

WOODHAVEN (WWJ) - Michigan State Police say multiple people were injured in an accident involving a commercial vehicle Downriver Monday.

Southbound I-75 was closed at West Rd. — Exit 32, in Woodhaven  —following the accident shortly before noon.

Police have not yet specified the number of people injured, but said some of the injuries were critical.

Those hurt in the crash included the driver of the commercial vehicle. Police said he or she was taken to a local hospital for treatment, but did immediately not release any further details.

The freeway was closed for a couple of hours at the accident scene, but reopened shortly after 2 p.m.
