Los Angeles is home to some of the best basketball you will see in the summer.

Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and James Harden have all taken time out of their summer vacation to show off their skills in the Drew League.

The league was first formed in 1973 by Alvin Wills. The purpose of the league was to "be a place for young men and women of South Central Los Angeles to learn life lessons through basketball."

Detroit Pistons forward Stanley Johnson laced up his sneakers and threw on a Drew League jersey this past weekend and dominated the competition.

Johnson scored 46 points with 27 coming in the first half. He rained in threes as well as effectively taking the ball to the basket. 46 points is the Drew League season high. Johnson played for Team ICEO and unfortunately his team fell short losing to Hank's Clozers 97-82.

Johnson has appeared in Drew League games in the past as well.
